A Few Reminders:
  • As a thank you for your participation in CANPWR, you will be reimbursed for parking costs associated with your visit to our site .

  • You will also receive a $25 Indigo/Chapters gift card!

  • If you are a youth collecting volunteer hours, we can provide credit for up to 3 volunteer hours for each visit.

    • Make sure to ask our research assistant if you have any questions about these perks.

  • Please make sure you update us with any phone number or address changes. 

  • Your participation continues whether or not you are still enrolled in the clinic 

    • We would still love to have you as part of the study!

 

Study Components:

  • Weight management registry

    • This involves a baseline questionnaire and follow-up questionnaires at 6 months and then annually at 1, 2 and 3 years.

    • These questionnaires help us understand how they are doing in reaching their goals in the weight management program.

Meet Our Team
Annick Buchholz, PhD, C.Pysch

Dr. Buchholz is a clinical psychologist, and lead in outcomes management and research at the Centre for Healthy Active Living (CHAL) for the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). She leads the Ottawa research team behind CANPWR. 

Charmaine Mohipp, MA, CCRP

Charmaine is currently the Research Associate for the Centre for Healthy Active Living at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and a Research Coordinator at the University of Ottawa. She has over 10 years of project management experience across a variety of research settings that include academia, hospitals, and the private sector. She has been with CANPWR for 3 years.

Gisell Castillo, MA

Gisell is a research assistant at CHEO’s centre for healthy active living (CHAL).  She is currently completing her PhD in social psychology at Carleton University.  She has been with CANPWR since September 2014.
